Trademark Policy

The following names and associated logos are trademarks of Mike Hall:

• Phalanx
• Phalanx: Duel
• Phalanx: Arena
• Phalanx: Siege
• Official Phalanx Ranked

Open Source and Trademarks

The code for the Phalanx project is licensed under the GNU General Public License v3.0 (GPL v3). The GPL grants you broad rights to use, modify, and distribute the code.

However, the GPL does not grant any rights to use the trademarks of Mike Hall or the Phalanx project.

Permitted Use

• Nominative Use: You may use the trademarks in a nominative or factual way to describe the project or unmodified builds (e.g., “This application uses the Phalanx: Duel engine”).
• No Implied Endorsement: Your use of the trademarks must not imply any endorsement, affiliation, or official status with Mike Hall or the Official Phalanx Ranked system.

Restrictions

• Official Phalanx Ranked: The name “Official Phalanx Ranked” is reserved exclusively for authorized ranked systems and certification bodies.
• Modified Versions: If you distribute a modified or hosted version of the software, you must use a distinct product name and branding that does not include the trademarks listed above.
