Phalanx Duel is not a game of luck. It is a system of deterministic consequences. You use a standard 52-card deck to initialize a digital killzone.
The Prime Directives
To survive your first engagement, you must internalize three laws of the battlefield.
1. The Grid is the Strategy
You operate on a 4x2 formation.
- Front Rank: Your primary attackers. Only the front row can strike.
- Back Rank: Your tactical reserves. When a front card falls, the reserve immediately collapses forward.
- A hole in your line is a direct vector to your Core (LP).
2. The Cascade is Inevitable
Damage in Phalanx Duel is deterministic. It flows.
- Select an attacker from your Front Rank.
- Target an enemy Column.
- Damage destroys the front card, then “carries over” to hit the back card.
- If the back card falls, the remaining energy hits the opponent’s Core (LP).
3. Suits are Your Tactical Tools
We have weaponized the standard deck through Suit Boundaries.
- ♦ Diamonds and ♥ Hearts (Shields): These reduce damage as it breaches a rank or reaches the Core.
- ♣ Clubs and ♠ Spades (Weapons): These multiply damage during the cascade or upon hitting the Core.
Mastery starts with math, not luck.
📽️ Integrated Tactical Briefings
Phalanx Duel v1.1.0 includes phase-specific tactical briefing overlays built directly into the game client. They appear automatically on first visit and can be re-accessed via the ”?” (Help) icon in the Combat Console — covering Deployment, Attack, and Cascade phases.
