Combat Directive (0 to 1)
Phalanx Duel is not a game of luck. It is a system of consequences. You use a standard 52-card deck to build a digital killzone.
The Prime Directives
To survive your first duel, you must internalize three laws of the battlefield.
1. The Grid is the Strategy
You operate on a 4x2 formation.
- Front Rank: Your attackers. Only the front row can strike.
- Back Rank: Your reserves. When a front card falls, the reserve immediately collapses forward.
- A hole in your line is a direct path to your Life Points.
2. The Cascade is Inevitable
Damage in Phalanx Duel is deterministic. It flows.
- Select an attacker from your Front Rank.
- Target an enemy Column.
- Damage destroys the front card, then “carries over” to hit the back card.
- If the back card falls, the remaining damage hits the opponent’s Life Points (LP).
3. Suits are Your Tools
We have weaponized the standard deck through Suit Boundaries.
- ♦ Diamonds and ♥ Hearts (Shields): These reduce damage as it passes through the column or reaches the player.
- ♣ Clubs and ♠ Spades (Weapons): These multiply damage during the cascade or upon hitting the player.
Mastery starts with math, not luck.
